The Crosslé Car Company in Holywood, County Down, has been making and exporting successful racing cars to many countries, from the late 1950s to the current day.
Since 2017, Crosslé has built more than twenty five single seater racing cars with a historic appearance and feel, but with modern engines and equipment. These have been supplied to race schools in Europe.

Designated the Crosslé 92F, with a rollover protection system to current Motorsport UK static load test requirements, it is now homologated by FFSA for club racing in France, from 2027.
The car has a Ford Zetec 1.8 litre engine and performance comparable to a ‘modern’ Formula Ford 1600, in a package strongly reminiscent of the 16F or 17F from 1970, without the drawbacks of period engines. It has F3 tyres, 135 BHP and bags of torque, but still commands respect from novice drivers.
Driver safety is much improved from the 1970 models.

The 92F negotiating the John Crosslé Chicane
Recently, visitors from France, Belgium, Switzerland and USA came to try the new 92F single seater, under the blue skies of Kirkistown Racing Circuit, after a factory visit in Holywood.

The sweeping corners and fast straights of the circuit, aided by great scenery, beautiful weather and Northern Irish hospitality, have set moves afoot to have a round of the French series at Le Kirkistown in 2027!
