Kirkistown is one of only a few Motorsport UK licensed car racing circuits in the UK not yet to have safety signal light panels around the course.
These light panels aid marshalling, provide increased visibility in wet weather and massively aid accurate communication between Race Control and drivers, during races. They will make racing safer for both marshals and competitors and are currently highly recommended by Motorsport UK. It is very likely that they will become mandatory, in the near future.
2 & 4 Wheel Motorsport, Motorsport UK and the British Motorsport Trust are providing substantial funding but we, as a club, will still have to spend at least £100,000 to complete the project.
We have decided to approach our friends, supporters and members to assist financially with this project by means of a Go Fund Me page, set up by our Chair Person, Fay Weir. (See below). All contributions, both large and small, will be gratefully appreciated.
