We are sad to report of the death of our friend and past Chairperson, Valerie Wright.
Valerie was a great supporter of racing and of the 500MRCI. In the late eighties and early nineties she was the first female Chairperson of the club, having already been a member of the Council for many years prior to that.
During her many years as Chairperson, I was the Vice-Chair and I looked to her for guidance and advice, which she always, freely, gave.
She still visited the circuit, from time to time, and it was always a privilege to meet with her.
Our condolences go to Leslie and her family at this very sad time.
