United Autosports are in the south of France for the third round and fourth race of the 2023 Michelin Le Mans Cup – following the double header Road To Le Mans event at Circuit de la Sarthe last month.
The LMP3 duo have shown strong pace so far this season, with John Schauerman and Wayne Boyd (#23) narrowly missing out on pole position at Road To Le Mans, while Gerry Kraut and Scott Andrews (#22) stormed through the field from P28 to a P5 finish in the 38-strong grid of LMP3 Pro / Am driver teams.
Today, the #22 and #23 Ligier JS P320s are on track for two Collective Test sessions, followed by two Free Practice sessions and the Collective Bronze Driver Test tomorrow (Friday 14th July).
On Saturday, the Bronze-graded driver in each team – Gerry Kraut (#22) and John Schauerman (#23) – will set the grid in Qualifying at 12:50 CEST / 11:50 BST, followed by the race at 17:10 CEST / 16:10 BST.

John Schauerman: “Le Castellet has been a good track pace-wise for us in the past. Last year was good but I made a mistake early on, so this weekend I’m focusing on not repeating mistakes, scoring points and getting back up in the championship standings.”
Wayne Boyd: “John and I have had seriously good pace all year but unfortunately the results haven’t gone our way … it’s been quite unlucky at times. We have a few races left to get our championship back on track … I’m really looking forward to it.” |
