The 500 Motor Racing Club Of Ireland regrets to advise that a competitor lost their life as the result of an accident at our meeting at Kirkistown Race Circuit today (Saturday, 27 July 2019).
As with any serious incident in or around UK motorsport, the 500MRCI is now working with the police to establish precisely what happened on this occasion. We are also liaising with the competitor’s next of kin.
The 500MRCI sends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased driver and requests that their privacy be respected.
