On Friday 23rd June the 500 Motor Racing Club of Ireland facilitated a sponsored bike ride around the Kirkistown Circuit. This was followed by a charity dinner and auction in the club house.
The total raised was £2,100 which was equally divided among Kirkistown Integrated Primary School, Cloughey Primary School and Portavogie Primary School.
The money was presented to the school principals by Kirkistown representative, Darren Gilmore, who was also the main organiser of project.
Also in attendance were Councillors Pete Rea and Davy Kerr.
